The technology we build on.
All-black panels on the roof, Victron Energy electronics beneath them. Below: what each part does and why we chose it.
Overview
The four parts every system is built from.
European power electronics, LiFePO4 batteries and our own control system. We know every part down to the last setting.
-
Solar panels
All-black modules. We plan the layout around your roof and any shading.
-
Victron MultiPlus-II and SmartSolar MPPT
Inverter and charge controllers. Monitored via Victron VRM.
Specifications -
WECO 5K3 EVO battery
LiFePO4 batteries for homes and businesses. We size and price them to match your consumption.
-
Energostat
A small box next to the inverter. It sends surplus power to your car, water heater, pool and heat pump.

How the system fits together
Charge controller
SmartSolar MPPT 250/100 VE.Can
Sits between the panels and the battery. It finds the point at which the panels deliver the most power and charges at that current.
- Charge current
- 100 A
- PV power at 48 V
- 5,800 W
- PV open-circuit voltage
- max. 250 V
- Efficiency
- up to 99%
Why we use it
It has no fan, so it's silent in the plant room and has nothing to clog up. Over VE.Can, up to 25 controllers charge in sync, and the Cerbo GX sees each of them individually.
DC busbar
Lynx Power In
Positive and negative copper busbars in one enclosure. The batteries, charge controllers and inverters all connect to it.
- Continuous current
- 1,000 A
- Voltage
- 9–60 V DC
- Connections
- 4 per pole
- Tinned busbar
- Cu 8 × 30 mm
Why we use it
Instead of a bundle of cables on the battery terminals, there's one tidy place where everything meets. Lynx modules line up side by side, so the busbar is easy to extend.
Inverter/charger
MultiPlus-II 48/5000
Turns battery power into AC for the house. When needed, it charges the battery from the grid, and if the grid goes down, it takes over supplying the house.
- Continuous power at 25 °C
- 5,000 VA
- Peak power
- 9,000 W
- Battery charging
- up to 70 A
- Switchover to backup
- under 20 ms
Why we use it
Inverter, charger and backup transfer switch in one box. We connect three identical units for three-phase power, as on the Loděnice project, and up to six can run in parallel.
For more power: Quattro
It has two AC inputs with a built-in transfer switch, for example for the grid and a generator. Available up to 15,000 VA per unit.
From a project
This is how it looks on the wall.
A family home in Loděnice: three MultiPlus-II units in three-phase, two SmartSolar MPPT 250/100 VE.Can charge controllers and two Lynx Power In busbars.

System controller
Cerbo GX and GX Touch 50
The brain of the system. It ties the inverters and charge controllers into one whole, controls them and sends data to the VRM portal. The display shows the status right in the house.
- Power supply
- 8–70 V DC
- Victron ports
- 3× VE.Direct, 2× VE.Bus, VE.Can
- Internet connection
- Ethernet, Wi-Fi
- GX Touch 50 display
- 800 × 480, IP54
Why we use it
Without it, every device would live a life of its own. With it, we see the whole system in one place and can change settings remotely. The display connects to the Cerbo with a single cable.
Remote monitoring
VRM portal
Victron's cloud, where the Cerbo GX sends its data. It shows production, consumption and battery status on your phone or computer.
- Price
- free
- Settings
- remote too
- Alarms
- email, push
- Management
- hundreds of systems
Why we use it
We built our own HELIOS monitoring centre on top of VRM. It shows us output, battery status and faults across all our installations in real time.
